Krantz / Air Diffusion The Krantz range of air distribution products includes: Mixed flow diffusers Krantz mixed flow diffusers, such as swirl diffusers and adjustable induction diffusers, discharge air with intense induction, strong turbulence and high momentum to strongly mix supply air with room air, thereby producing uniform temperature distribution, enhanced thermal comfort and draught-free air supply to the space. Temperature distribution and pollutant removal are by dilution of the room air with supply air. Mixed flow diffusers are typically freely suspended or located in ceilings or side walls. Displacement systems Krantz displacement diffusers utilise the principle of thermal displacement ventilation to provide enhanced indoor air quality by complimenting the airflow patterns from thermals rising from heat sources to purge pollutants from the occupancy microclimate. Displacement diffusers discharge the supply air with low induction and minimal mixing, flooding the floor with cool, high quality air that creates an occupancy microclimate at a low level from which heat and contaminants are displaced to a high level layer of stratification. Occupants are cocooned in enhanced indoor air quality and thermal comfort, whilst heat and contaminants, displaced by thermals and by low level displacement ventilation, are purged in concentrated form from a high level. Auditoria solutions Krantz auditoria diffusers supply air into an auditorium or assembly hall from a low level, utilising the principle of thermal displacement ventilation to create an occupancy microclimate of enhanced indoor air quality. Heat and contaminants rise as plumes of heat by convection to stratify at a high level, where they are removed in concentrated form, whilst occupants are cocooned in a low level occupancy microclimate of enhanced indoor air quality and comfort.
